That’s what has become of me when I turn eighteen years old. I am not even eighteen yet, and here my life is ruled, controlled, and contained by them.
My license, one of my only reprieves in this forbidden life, is numbers coding me so I’m easy to track down and hunt. Like prey.
My passport, a way out into another dimension of this shattered world, is numbers.
A tracking beacon of excited electrons lighting up a dark number on a computer screen. A number that identifies itself with my name.
